Buddy Owen had a party Sunday Night June 4, 2006 at 19 Broadway.

You are listening to Feeling Allright the classic tune by Dave Mason and Traffic from the 60's. I have heard it a thousand times but this really is the first time I hear almost all the lyrics. Thank you Buddy.

 A great rockin' jam.

Well somehow, I don't know how, but I never gave Buddy the respect he deserves. I had caught a bit of his playing here and there but somehow there lodged an opinion that was not very accurate. Buddy has been playing around these parts for longer than I have been around. Sorry I have missed out over the years.

It wasn't until the Spudnig gig this past December at Peri's when Gail Muldrow let Buddy open up her second set with a couple of tunes that I got myself woken up. This dude Buddy is one fine player both as a rough and gritty blues singer and as a very solid if not flat out ripping guitarist. Very strong guitar.

Buddy like a lot of us are getting up their in years and this is the time for a lot of players with the old touch of gray and all the other manifestations of just getting old
to hang up their axe and sit back and let the next generation  ....  Bullshit!

Buddy was out of the hospital like on Wednesday I don't know what the surgery was for there was a benefit for him and yes according to Brian Fischer who recorded the gig (with Jeff Irving) he sang the whole night long. The players that night. His son Tony Owen, guitar; Terry Haggerty, Guitar (Sons of Champlin); Ernest Boom Carter, (Bruce Springsteen) Drums and guitar; Mike Shea, Bass (David Grisman, Sky Blue Band); Phil Wood, Cornet, (Sons of Champlin, The Sky Blue Band); Ian Lamson, guitar (Elvin Bishop Band, Ed Early Band); Liam Hanrahan, Bass, (Zero); Crisco, Drums (Ed Early Band, Ruckus); Lee Rockwell, Vocals, (Rob Robinson Band).

It was a great party keep on rocking Buddy!
